Preload self-adjusting type spindle


YASDA’s exclusive preload self-adjusting system technology provides a large preload at low speed, and reduces the preload according to the heat generated by higher spindle speed. This mechanism creates a clear advantage over the conventional fixed type preload system.
Appropriate preload for full range of the spindle speed help achieve the both heavy duty cutting at low spindle speed and highly accurate rotation at high spindle speed.
The spindle cartridge and the spindle motor are connected co-axially by a diaphragm coupling to achieve highly accurate rotation of the spindle at the full range of its rotation speed.
Variety of machining is possible by YASDA’s spindle, such as highly accurate turn boring, heavy duty machining, high speed machining on the hardened steel, helical end milling, back face milling and so on.

 

Guide way structure determining machine precision

It is not too much to say that the inherent precision and durability to maintain precision are determined by the guide way. YASDA uses square guide ways of solid quenching material with high durability. This guide way is individually polished at high precision, finished at higher precision by hand wrapping, and then tightened with bolts on the guide way mounting surface of the main component (Bed, bridge, saddle). YASDA elaborately repeats scraping on this guide way mounting surface to obtain high straightness. The precisely scraped guide way mounting surface is rigorously measured for straightness, and when precision is secured, the guide way is mounted. Then, the straightness is rigorously measured again after mounting the guide way (by auto collimator), and this work is repeated until the target precision is obtained. This is a critical process in applying high precision to machines.

THERMAL DISTORTION STABILIZING SYSTEM

Thermal distortion of the machine in geometry con occur when the room temperature changes in short time, which is critical for high accuracy job.
YASDA Thermal distortion stabilizing system enables to keep the machine geometry stable against changes of the room temperature, that circulates a temperature controlled oil,+/-0.2℃ to room temperature, throughout the main structure of the machine.
