Male and female fitting

This is an example of processing the clearance of the fitting surface for 10μm or less. When processed with different types of blades, a step is created on the joint part if the machine precision is not satisfactory. A significant time is required in the polishing process after processing such a step. However, YASDA’s CNC jig borer alleviates any such anxieties since high quality and high precision are possible.

YASDA original “preload self-adjusting type spindle” and “combined sliding bearing and sliding surface” excellent in damping properties shows the effects especially in processing such high hardness material. The example is for a case of rough processing by cutting at low speed, and finishing at high speed with high grade processing (surface roughness Ry1.5μm) . This is an area of high precision processing of high hardness material that used to be processed only by electro discharge machining. The processing time can be reduced to about 1/5 (actual measurement) compared to the electro discharge machining.

In a process of deep carving, the processed shape precision greatly goes wrong, if the rigidity of the main axis and the rigidity of the entire machine are insufficient causing falling of the processed surface by tool movement, pronounced worn-out cutting performance, and vibration.
In processing of this mold base, high precision processing has been realized by a boring process and end milling. A boring process is used for holes of 4 – 42.5φ and end milling for pocket parts.

This is a processing example in the base plate process of a die required for very severe process precision. Pay careful attention to measurements of the bore diameter, straightness, and pitch precision.
